IGN has published a video about the upcoming film adaptation of Mortal Kombat. In it, the director Simon McQuoid (Simon McQuoid) and the performers of the leading roles, as usual, praise the film and say that to transfer the game to the cinema screens is a non-trivial task.
Recall the synopsis of the picture:
MMA fighter Cole Young, a regular participant in fights for money, knows nothing about his origin, and certainly does not suspect why the emperor of the Outside World Shang Tsung sent his best fighter, cryomancer Sub-Zero, after him. Concerned for the safety of his family, Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade at the direction of Jax, a major in the armed forces, who has the same strange dragon mark that Cole has been wearing since birth.
Cole finds himself in the temple of Lord Raiden, the Elder god and protector of the Earth Kingdom. It provides shelter to those who wear the dragon mark. Cole begins training with experienced fighters-Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kano. He will have to fight together with the champions of the Earth against enemies from the Outside World. Will Cole be able to awaken the colossal power hidden in his soul in time to not only protect his family, but also stop the Outside world forever?
