The IGN resource published an interview with the director of the future feature film Resident Evil, Johannes Roberts. And during the conversation, some interesting things about the future project were revealed.
The film is reportedly subtitled Welcome to Raccoon City. According to the plot, this will be a movie adaptation of the first two games in the series. And with the films of Paul Anderson (Paul Anderson). At the same time, the film will show the city of Raccoon City itself, the police station and the Spencer mansion. At the same time, Roberts hinted that he was inspired by the works of John Carpenter (John Carpenter), because the film will probably have a couple of references.
The focus in the film will be kept on the “game” characters-Chris and Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine and Leon Kennedy. In this case, the events will take place during one night, and some camera angles will simulate the “fixed camera” from the games.
The film itself will be released on September 3. The shooting has already been completed, and the post-production stage is underway.
